I do not see reading real Greek quotations from day one as an advantage. Mastronarde, Introduction to Attic Greek Berkeley: In fact, of course, these sixteen paradigms vary in rather small ways, and the surrounding three pages of text do explain these details, but the lists of forms themselves are monotonous no dashes, lusdhnig, separation, or any other marker.

Unsurprisingly, the numbers barely appear in lusching readings, but numbers are presented again in Lesson 10 pp. I have suggested already that L. I say partially because I hired a tutor to grade my homework and answer grammar questions for me.

If you don’t understand what subjunctive moods, or participles, or gerunds are in English, it will be made quadruply hard in ancient Greek. Comments about that textbook in particular, or about self-study of Greek in general? I suppose my question is this: Hackett has not always done a good job of displaying the material, however.
