Back from a one-year hiatus with sabbatical projects to share: This is a very US-centric textbook. Each chapter builds a different app. Gallaugher and his students spend several weeks each year visiting with, and attending master-class sessions hosted by, technology executives, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists in San Eystems, Silicon Valley, Seattle, Boston, New York, and Ghana.

The text was not culturally insensitive or offensive. I appreciate the chapter objectives, take aways and questions and exercises. It would probably not be an issue on a hard copy or an online copy that the students would purchase. Offer the product to strong students as an independent study — then hire them as TAs when you roll out the full course.

Lectures are handled by the product, exercises and online quizzes are already created. However, the text is verbose. Check out our BCSwift video from last semester. The structure of the chapters is well infprmation visually and the breakdown of content into subchapters makes the book easy to read, as well as creates a good framework for moving through the content.
