This book is far from light, and including real-life tragic events from history gave the book a more realistic feel, making it all the more engaging.

I have this one from the library as well and seeing as this is gopdman to a Diviners-like romance, not to mention infusion of historical and fantasy, I have a feeling I’ll love this.

Blythewood follows this template as well but it actually has some “meat” to it. Kill the Boy Band by Goldy Moldavsky. Were she and her daughter estranged? Should she follow her heart and believe that a Darkling could be her friend, or listen to the Order who teach her that all faeries are evil? She makes a couple very good friends at Blythewood and as the book progresses she really starts to enjoy and depend on her friends.

And along the way, she makes some friends, both among her peers at school and among her teachers and their acquaintances, but she also makes a truly menacing enemy, one who may know Ava’s story better than she does.

By the time I got to that point in the book, I already carop her strong spirit and intelligence, and the story had barely begun. The reader does get small glimpses, but not the full story.

I absolutely bought this book for gpodman reasons; the absolutely gorgeous cover, and the fact that it is a book about a boarding school with secrets. Who is her real father? Don’t have a Kindle?
